Jürgen Wahl

Managing Partner, CEO

 

Jürgen holds a MSc of the University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences Vienna, Austria , an MBA from the University of Minnesota, USA and from the University of Economics and Business Administration, Vienna. After one year in development cooperation and more than twelve years in management positions of international organisationas and corporates he started his own business in 2006 being particularely interested and fascinated by new technologies and innovative business models.

 

He has since successfully founded, restructured or taken over some businesses and has provided his experience and know-how as a mentor and business angel to dozens of start-ups and founders as well as a Consultant and Venture Partner to a number of Austrian, European and US investment companies.

 

 

Katerina Wahl

Partner, Projects, COO:

 

Katerina holds a MA in Roman linguistics of the University Vienna, Austria and worked some years as a language trainer. After that she gained broad experience in managing educational and migration projects and as a managing director of public and private institutions.

 

She is active consultant managing a part of our investment portfolio. Furthermore she is responsible for our internal process and project management.

 

Horst Gaisbauer

 Partner, CFO

 

Horst holds an MBA from the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration ("WU"). He started his career while finishing his studies by joining the M&A department at Telekom Austria. After a short step into debt finance (RZB, project- and M&A-finance) he has been active in the Venture Capital Business since 2007. His latest occupations were Gamma Capital Partners and the Upper Austrian Hightech Fund, managed by tech2b.

 

In the course of his 20 years of professional experience Horst gained extensive know-how in corporate finance and managed more than 100 transactions.

 

 Werner Krendl

Venture Partner Investment Management, Impact investing:

 

Werner holds a Master degree in Economics from the University of Economics and Business Administration (“WU”),  Vienna as well as the University of Sussex in Brighton, UK, and has published various scientific papers on asset price bubbles and green bonds. He has 20 years of experience in impact investing, portfolio management and venture capital.

 

Since 2011 he focuses on impact investing in various roles including start-up coaching, investment advisory for an international NGO, as well as structuring impact investing activities at the Impact Hub Vienna.

 

Markus Linder

Venture Partner, Co-Investor:

 

Markus studied International Business Administration at Vienna University of Economics and Business, KU Leuven (Belgium) and Universidad Gabriela Mistral in Santiago de Chile. In 2006 he founded the SaaS technology startup Zoovu (pka SMARTASSISTANT) and was responsible for the scaling of the company to a global market leader (more than $25M VC raised, close to 200 employees) as it's founding CEO.

 

In 2019 he stepped back from his operative role, started getting active as an impact investor focusing on globally scalable business models with impact on the biodiversity and climate crisis. In 2020 he initiated inoqo - a technology startup that's active in this field.
